DAVID BYRNE

David Byrne, is mainly known as the leader of a legendary Talking Heads band, but also as a creator of renowned label Luaka Bop. He’s a photographer, director, author and at last a solo artist with many successes on his account. Recently he’s been associated with theatre, due to the show recently staged in New York “Joan of Arc: Into the Fire”. He has been working with theatre for over three decades. Bryne has also many collaborations on his account, among others: with Fatboy Slim at disco-opera “Here Lies Love” about Imelda Marcos, controversial first lady of the Philippines. Collaboration is a key word when it comes to Byrne. Brian Eno was his most famous music companion, they recorded two albums together – “My Life in The Bush of Ghost” from 1981 and “Everything That Happens Will Happen Today” from 2008. Byrne has also found common language with St.Vincent which effected in “Love This Giant”. His voice may be also known by the electronic fans from the house anthem “Lazy” from the X-Press 2 duet. Those who are into alternative may have heard him in Arcade Fire and Anna Calvi records. Bryne was the Talking Heads leader since 1975 until 1991. The band released 8 albums, and radio stations continue to play their songs such as: “Burning Down The House”, “Psycho Killer” or “Once in a Lifetime”. David Bryne surely knows how the music works, he also wrote a book about it!
