From one of the most influential alternative bands of the decade to the new generation of hip-hop. Vampire Weekend, Lil Uzi Vert, Rudimental and Sheck Wes join the Open'er Festival 2019 line-up.
Lil Uzi Vert, the next artist to perform at Open'er Festival 2019, is also keeping the release date of his new album secret. Since 2015, and the premiere of the "Luv Is Rage" mixtape, he has been gaining popularity. In 2017 media praised him for his cooperation with Migos ("Bad And Boujee"), which resulted in the first number one on Billboard. Soon after, he got his first solo track ("XO Tour Lif3") in the Top 10. To this day, he can boast of cooperation with, among others, Gucci Man, Kanye West and Travis Scott.
Rudimental can boast of an even bigger variety of featured artists. Since their debut in 2013, Piers Aggett, Amir Amor, Kesi Dryden and DJ Locksmith, have worked with likes of Major Lazer, Macklemore, Ed Sheeran, John Newman, Ella Eyre or Rita Ora. The fact that their music is perfectly created for the festival madness, Open'er goers could experience in 2014. Now Rudimental returns to Gdynia with a new album and will warm up the audience again with a mix of drum'n'bass and r'n'b and hits, such as "Waiting All Night", "Not Giving In" "Bloodstream" or "These Days".
Also joining the festival line-up is Sheck Wes. The American rapper of Senegalese descent, being still in his teenage years signed a contract with Kanye West and Travis Scott. After the incredible success of his single "Mo Bamba" and the well-received "Live Sheck Wes Die Sheck Wes" or "Chippi Chippi", the fans finally got his debut album "Mudboy" which premiered in October and received very good reviews (Best New Music on Pitchfork). Although in his songs Sheck Wes focuses mainly on autobiographical themes and life on the streets of New York, there are also verses in "Jiggy On The Shits" that are a nod to his Senegalese roots.
