SEVDALIZA

Sevdaliza is a singer, lyricist, director and a composer born in Tehran, but living in Netherlands. Her deep, sensual voice floats above the trip-hop dubs. Sevdaliza gets her inspirations from different genres: electronic, punk, trip hop, grime and avant-garde, while her lyrics are influenced by the greatest artists and are quite philosophical; they’re about the genders diversification and the perception of emotions. Sevdaliza creates worlds where anything is possible. She released her EP by herself, “The Suspended Kid” as well as its continuation “Children of Silk". Both well received by journalists and her fans. Her first album “ISON” was released in April. Its sound was compared to the albums from FKA Twigs and Kelela, which is a slight simplification, as some people compared “ISON” to the Radiohead’s or Beyonce’s accomplishments. So what’s it like?
