It’s been always clear that everything Drake touches, turns into gold. Open’er headliner from 2015 has a remarkable gift not only to break another records, but also to find new artists. In 2013 he decided to remix single “Versace”, song from the Atlanta rap trio. It became viral and the trio evolved into a stage revelation, they have just joined this year’s Open’er line-up! Migos! Offset, Quavo and Takeoff established their band in 2009. They know each other since childhood, they’re related not only by blood, but also by their experiences (even those bad). They released their debut album in 2015 – “Yung Rich Nation” defined their style, which blossomed on “Culture”, a perfect mixture of trap and rap called by the Pitchfork “a phenomenon”. The album reached the Billboard top spot, which caused that Migos became the most popular rap group in America. In 2017 we heard them in two excellent pop singles – “Slide” by Calvin Harris and “Bon Appétit” by Katy Perry.
They returned to their repertoire at the end of the year. Single “MotorSport” with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj was not only a great announcement of another album, but also a proof for the fact that Migos are not going to slow down. “Culture II” was released on the last Friday of January, after another excellent single – “Stir Fry” with Pharrell as a producer. “Culture II” is the first, important hip-hop premiere in 2018, it’s also a very clear sign telling us who will be important in rap for the next couple of months.
